Volunteers Needed   Equest Depends on Community Support - Your Support
Equest is welcoming volunteers to prepare horses for class (groom and tack), lead horses or sidewalk during class, help with fundraisers, act as a board member, sponsor a student or a horse, make a contribution, or a variety of other activities essential for the continued success of the program.

We are anxious to add your fresh ideas to ours. Volunteering for a single event a weekly time commitment or distributing brochures by mail or in person will help immensely.

If you are active in a club, a church group, school function or will be working in a booth at a bazaar or craft show, handing out information about Special Riders would give them the boost they need.

I Saw A Child

I saw a child who couldn't walk,
sit on a horse, laugh and talk.
Then ride it through a field of daisies
and yet he could not walk unaided.

I saw a chlid, no legs below,
sit on a horse and make it go.
Through woods of green
and places he had never heen,
to sit and stare, except from a chair,

I saw a child who could only crawl,
mount a horse and sit up tall.
Put it through degrees of paces and laugh at the
wonder in our faces.

I saw a child born into strife,
take up and hold the reins of life.
And that same child, I heard him say
"Thank God for showing me the way!"
